Getting to Work

Travel to Work:

When considering what sort of job/career you would like you will have to think about how you will get to your place of work.

This may not be as easy as getting to school or college.

Ask yourself:

  • How will I get there? (Car, bus, train, bike, moped)
  • How long will it take me?
  • How much will it cost?

Don't forget:

  • The bus or train will not drop you off at your work place so you will need to add in extra time so you aren't late.
  • Even if you have your own car - you will need to park. Not all organisations provide their staff with car parking spaces, so you may need to pay to park.
  • Big cities like Hull offer Park & Ride services which could save you money on all day parking.

Think about sharing your travel: is there anyone else going your way that you could travel with (family, friends, work colleagues)?
