Foodvest is a £1.1BN, independently-owned Europoean seafood and frozen food business. It comprises of Young’s and The Seafood Company in the UK, together with Findus in Scandanavia and France. It has a total workforce of some 6300 people, over 4000 of whom are in the UK.

Young’s is Britain’s most famous name in fish and uses both modern and traditional skills to produce a vast range of top quality frozen and chilled seafood, all sold under the Young’s brand. Young’s and the majority of its 2000 employees are based in Grimsby, with around 50 at specialist scampi facilities in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Seafood Company is focused on the production of top quality chilled fish own label products for all the UK’s major retailers, such as Sainsburys, Marks & Spencers, Waitrose, Morrisons, Co-op and Asda etc, as well as chilled products for its sister company Young’s. It has extensive experience and expertise in the production of fine quality speciality seafood and hand-crafted products, such as hot and cold smoked salmon, shellfish, seafood canapés, terraines and recipe dishes. With headquarters in Grimsby, The Seafood Company employs approximately 2000 people in total and has key production facilities in Grimsby, Scotland and Norfolk.
