Barclays Bank is a major national and international company providing a range of  banking and finance services to individuals and businesses and offering many  career opportunities. The company’s Head Office is at Canary Wharf in London and every new member of staff is invited to visit for a day as part of their induction training. Barclays offers some very good work opportunities abroad, particularly if you can speak a second language.

Barclays Bank at Driffield is a typical branch office offering a range of personal and commercial banking services to its customers.

There are a variety of different roles within the branch:

• Barclays Financial Planners: mortgage advisers who are regulated to give advice/support for private mortgages only
• Personal bankers: dealing with ISAs and all aspects of personal banking
• Premier Managers – who will deal with very exclusive clients eg millionaires – and they do have a few!
• Business Managers: Start Up Business Manager, Commercial Business Manager
• Senior Local Business Manager (Jamie Sole)
• Agriculture Business Managers: different branches have different needs/specialisms and at Driffield there is a strong demand for the services of the Agriculture Business Manager
